Guzmania
Guzmania 'Puna Gold'
The leaves of the Guzmania are soft, smooth, and green similar to the Vriesea. Because of the dramatic inflorescences they have been called "burning candles of the jungle." They like shade and TLC more than other bromeliads.
If you look in the background in many television programs you will see bright red Guzmania as part of the set decoration.
